From Mas de Fanfan, you can easily reach the most beautiful natural sites of the Petite Camargue as well as those of the hinterland — perfect for lovers of peace and wide-open spaces, or for those seeking more active, outdoor adventures.

Plage de l’Espiguette – Camargue Nature Reserve (25 km – Le Grau-du-Roi)
“An exceptional natural beach”
→ Tip: Free parking at the last roundabout on the right, toward “Camping de l’Espiguette.”

Scamandre Nature Reserve & Discovery Centre (16 km – Vauvert)
For birdwatchers and nature lovers.

Pont des Touradons (6.5 km – Le Cailar)
A nearby viewpoint to admire horses and bulls roaming free.

Tour Carbonnière – Saint-Laurent-d’Aigouze (9 km)
A driveable route with panoramic views over the marshes.

Camargue Safaris & Horseback Rides
4×4 tours or horseback excursions with local guides to discover the region’s wildlife and plant life.

Cyclists
Ideal location with a greenway/cycle route 3 km away toward Vauvert. Charging outlets available at the Mas if needed 😉

L’Espiguette
One of the best kitesurf spots in France. (Also great for other board and sailing sports) Almost constant wind and around 50m into the water where you can still stand – a paradise for beginners!

Le Roc de Massereau (18 km)
The largest treetop adventure park in southern France

Pic Saint-Loup (57 km)
For hikers who enjoy a bit of altitude.

Aigues-Mortes – Medieval City (12 km)
A charming fortified town, with its salt flats and flamingos along the road — a must-see in the Camargue.

Fête de la Saint Louis from August 22 to 24 — the city reconnects with its history.

Nîmes “La Romaine” (35 km)
The Arenas, the Jardins de la Fontaine, the Maison Carrée, the Tour Magne, the Temple of Diana, the Porte Auguste, and many other magnificent sites — not to mention the ferias, a monument in their own right 😉

Montpellier (40 km)A vibrant and cultural city.
